SKIRTING TILE ROUND EDGE BEADING
PURPOSE
This is used to protect the edges of the plastered corners, edges of tiles, and marble and granite cladding in heavy traffic areas. It improves the finishes and protects the edges from damage due to high impacts, creates uniformity.
ADVANTAGES
- Protects the chopped tiles' burred edges.
- Enhances the skirting's edges finishing.
- Gives the skirting's edges rounded edges, which improves appearance.
- Its application is simplified by the fact that it can be cut with standard woodworking tools.
METHODOLOGY
- Considering the thickness of the tiles being used, choose the PVC beading of the desired color.
- Cut the beading to the appropriate length.
- Before the tiles are fixed, make sure the beading is positioned exactly as it must be.
- Complete the tile installation on a single surface.
- The side without the punched holes should be butted against the tile surface when the beading is positioned on the edge.
- After that, place the tiles on the opposite side to allow the mortar to fill in the adhesive holes and make sure the mortar does so. All of the tiles are fixed when the beading is attached to the walls' sides, with the exception of the final row or column. After the final row or column is fixed, the beading is placed at the end of the tile, and mortar is applied, making sure the mortar enters the adhesive holes.
